Abstract: 

network function virtualization technology transforms hardware middleboxes into sets of software-based virtual network function (VNF ) that can host the growing demand for latency-sensitive services at the fog-cloud computing-based networks. Dynamic placement of service functions chain by reusing (VNF) instances can improve resource utilization and save time. To address this problem, we propose a parallelized service function chain placement method by reusing (VNF) in fog-cloud computing-based networks. Here, the placement problem is configured using deep reinforcement learning approaches with the aim of maximizing long-term cumulative reward. By sharing (VNF) s in parallel, this method can achieve computational acceleration in providing online services. In addition, the proposed method increases the ability to accept future requests by extracting the distribution of the initialized (VNF) s. The simulation results show the superiority of the proposed method, where considering the monetary cost criterion of more than 7%, it performs better than the best existing methods.

Deep-sea vessels use various navigational aids like AIS (automatic identification system), ECDIS (electronic chart display and information system), radar, GPS (global positioning system), and etc. vessels use AIS to communicate their navigational characteristics, destinations, and load information. Such data are very helpful for vessel officers; therefore, AIS can be used for communicating the name and position of the vessel as well as navigational signs in the port area. So, this system is very helpful in improving the quality of pilotage as well as improving the safety of navigation in canals like Khur Musa.

Abstract: 

واقعیت مجازی، نوعی فناوری برای ایجاد تعامل بین انسان و رایانه است که توسط آن داده های پیچیده تبدیل به تصویر، صوت و عوامل تحریک حواس شخص می شود تا حضور واقعی در محیط مجازی به او القا شود. یکی از مزایای واقعیت مجازی، بهره گیری از آن به عنوان یک ابزار جدید در حوزه هنر معماری، برای شبیه سازی بنا قبل از ساخت است. بدین ترتیب، می توان از لحاظ بصری و طراحی هنری، تناسب به کار رفته در طراحی پروژه را بررسی نموده و از خطاهای احتمالی در حین طراحی جلوگیری نمود. در پژوهش حاضر، به بیان اهمیت همگام سازی طراحی معماری با تکنولوژی های جدید و کارآمدی مانند فناوری واقعیت مجازی پرداخته شده است. با توجه به نوظهور بودن این فناوری در ایران، شناخت قابلیت ها و کاربردهای آن در زمینه هایی هم چون معماری، که کم تر مورد بحث و بررسی قرار گرفته است، ضروری است. اطلاعات مورد استفاده به منظور شناخت فناوری واقعیت مجازی و نحوه استفاده از آن در طراحی معماری، از طریق مطالعات کتابخانه ای و نیز تجزیه و تحلیل منابع خارجی مرتبط، گردآوری شده است. شناخت قابلیت ها و ﮐﺎرﺑﺮدﻫﺎی واﻗﻌﯿﺖﻣﺠﺎزی، و به دنبال آن به کارگیری گسترده این تکنولوژی، ﻣﯽ ﺗﻮاند انقلابی در معماری و طراحی به وجود آورد و داﻣﻨﻪ اﺳﺘﻔﺎده از آن را در اﯾﺮان ﮔﺴﺘﺮش دهد. استفاده از این فناوری توسط معماران، تنها راه شناسایی پتانسیل ها و کمبودهای آن در حوزه معماری و به ویژه طراحی داخلی است. بنابراین، مداخله معماران در بهبود و تکامل این تکنولوژی ضروری است و این امر، تنها با شناساندن و معرفی واقعیت مجازی به طور گسترده در جامعه مهندسی حاصل خواهد شد.

Abstract: 

Elastic optical network has recently raised immense research efforts to serve as a highlyflexible and scalable platform required by the emerging on-demand cloud applications. Besides, virtual network embedding on top of elastic optical network has been introduced as a promising solution to fine-grain sharing of node processing and optical bandwidth resources. Owing to the diverse delay sensitivity requirements of heterogeneous cloud applications, an efficient double queue scheduler is presented, to deliver differentiated setup delay embedding in a fair manner. Extensive numerical simulations carried out over two prototype substrate networks, demonstrated that our proposed scheme can concomitantly enhance blocking and fairness performance of the single queue scheduler over wide range of offered traffic loads.

Abstract: 

The present research aims at studying the social capital in virtual social networks (virtual social capital). Its theoretical bases are related to the theories discussed by classic as well as contemporary sociologists. The research's theoretical framework is Wolman's theory of the social capital network. He has provided three models: missed society; leaved society and preserved society; and considered the network's social capital in three dimensions: structural dimension (the network's size and configuration), interactive dimension (contact frequency, the relation and intimacy severity) and functional dimension (supports); and assumes them as this research's bases. The research has been conducted using a combination of survey and documentary methods. In fact, the literature and theoretical bases have been collected using documentary method; however data collection and their analysis have been performed using survey method. Statistical population consists of all Farsi language virtual social networks in which Iranian users have been members and have continuous interactions. The sample volume was predicted as 400 people based on the amended Cochran's formula. Sampling method was snowball method. Of course, since data were collected in a theoretical space, interviews were conducted in the form of questionnaires sent through e-mail; the answering system was as self-responding. Respondents answered the items and questions in the virtual space. In the statistical analysis various methods have been applied including one-variable (descriptive statistics), two-variable (different statistical tests) and multi-variable (regression and route analysis).

Abstract: 

This paper offers an interdisciplinary study on mechanisms of homophily in virtual social network at Graduate University of Zanjan. Despite the significance of homophily, not many studies have been done on it. It is for this reason this paper sets its objective to study homophily in Iran and considers its unit of analysis to be Graduate University of Zanjan.Theoretically the paper uses a theoretical synthesis based on what homophily means in the discipline of network Science and Technology and combines it with the concept of homophily in Communication and Sociology.Methodologically, the paper collects its data from among students at Graduate University of Zanjan during a period of 2009 and 2014. We used some interviews and set up some face-to face interviews with questionnaires in addition to observations in order to complete the data gathering. Then we calculated the number of connections with similar characteristics of individuals and subtracted them from total connections expected in a random situation so to measure homophily. Here the paper has measured characteristics or variables such as gender, graduate degree level, discipline, city of residence, marital status, and year of entering university. Some of the results indicate that students, who use social network of Graduate University of Zanjan, select their friends based on the following characteristics and in the following order: similarity in gender, marital status, degree level, discipline, year of entering university, and city of residence. Our observations indicate that religious norms play a special role in communicating with opposite sex.
